S1 - S3 Languages and Communication Week 25 May

Dear Parents/Carers of S1, S2 and S3 Learners,

Many thanks for your support during last week's Wellbeing Week - it was lovely to see so many engaged and involved.  This week, we are delighted to share with you our new Interdisciplinary Learning project approaches for S1, S2 and S3 learners.  This will, help our young people, we hope, at a time of exceptional circumstances, to build their transferrable skills across departments and faculties.  For the week beginning Monday 25 May 2020, our Languages and Communication Team (Business, English, Social Subjects and Spanish) will provide the project work (please see our Virtual Learning page) and will communicate with young people via Microsoft Teams.  However, in order to provide a variety of activities for our learners, our STEM Team (Science, DET, Computing and Maths) will provide additional opt in activities.  Each week, a different team of departments will lead and another will provide the opt in activities so that no area is missed.  Please rest assured that we are here to support and we absolutely understand the pressures on some families at present.  Therefore, please do what you feel is right for your child and please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Guidance Team or via the school email address, should you require any additional support or should you have any feedback.  Otherwise, we hope that this communication finds you and your families safe and well.
