CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

I am very aware that the current health situation is of concern to all of us.  As a school we are following NHS Fife and Health Protection Scotland health advice. Please check the NHS Inform website for advice. Information related to the Coronavirus can also be found on our Fife Coronavirus web pages. Lochgelly High School and learning is continuing as normal. As a staff, we are undertaking contingency planning to ensure that we are in a position to facilitate ongoing learning in the event of schools being closed. I know that many of you will be concerned about the upcoming SQA exam diet.  At present the SQA advice is that the exams will go ahead and therefore learners should continue to work towards these. If your child is absent due to illness on the day of an exam then the normal “Exceptional Circumstances” processes will apply.  This is obviously a fast changing situation and we will communicate any changes in our position to you via Groupcall, our App, our website and through Twitter.If you have any questions or if you want to discuss individual circumstances please do not hesitate to get in touch.
